Minor: Eduation on Studies

Speaker Relations

Tell us about yourself!
I am currently in the Speakers Relations team! I love boarding, hiking, and grocery shopping (hehe). I am easily excited by the little enjoyments and details of life 🙂
What is your favorite TED talk and why?

I chose this video because I will never understand the struggle that some may face due to being a certain race. I love hearing Clint Smith share because it helps me understand just a smidge more of the inequality that is rampant. I desire to be a part of implementing change that will bring equality to our future generations, and I appreciate this specific video as it sheds light upon inequality. How powerful..

What enticed you to choose your major(s) and/or minor(s)?
I love the possibility of being able to impact a child’s life. Through the combination of communication and education studies, I feel that I will be more equipped to help, love, and guide the younger generation.
What is your interpretation of this years TEDxUCSD theme, Madness and Miracles?
Within us all, lies a certain “madness” that manifests itself into failures, shortcomings, and disappointment. But from the depths of being at the “bottom” of ourselves, “miracles” take place. Clarity, inspiration, and beauty rises from the ashes.
Who/What inspires you?
Jesus <3
If you could have a super power what would it be and why?
I would love to have the power to “heal”. This is a beautiful thing, to be able to free and help others in such a way that transforms their physical body.
What's one thing you can't live without?
What is one life goal that you have?
to be appreciative and humble in whichever seasons I find myself in, whether it be through hardship, success, failures or joy 🙂
