Tell us about yourself!
I am a second year Computer Science undergraduate student at UC San Diego with an interest in web development, interaction design, social psychology, and entrepreneurship. Beyond academics, I enjoy exploring Hacker News, making espresso, taking star trail photos.
What is your favorite TED talk and why?

In this talk, Simon Sinek discovered some remarkable patterns in how the leaders think, act and communicate. He explored how to enhance feeling of trust, and how to build good leadership in a team.

What enticed you to choose your major(s) and/or minor(s)?
As a child, driven by my curiosity, I spent endless time taking apart and reassembling almost every electronic device that I could get my hands on just to find out how they worked. I was amazed by the magical work that small electronic chips could do. On my 11th birthday, my father bought me a computer. I used books and the Internet as sources of learning, spent thousands of hours looking up terms and problems. My interests in Computer Science started increasing tremendously as I discovered more from all the resources available, and soon it became one of my passions.
What is your interpretation of this years TEDxUCSD theme, Madness and Miracles?
The theme, Madness and Miracles, is the reflection of current generation. With increasing competition in our environment, open minded sharing becomes really rare. However, people are awesome. Providing an open stage, bridging the gap between madness and miracles, encouraging sharing, embrace challenges are becoming the topics of this year’s event.
