Tell us about yourself!
I am a transfer student from Santa Monica College and this is my 1st quarter at UCSD. My position on board is External. I am a new member and would describe myself as a highly motivated person. I do take my job or project seriously and try to see things in perspective. I am also a realist and I cope well when the going gets tough; I am very good at finding solutions to problems. In other words, I relish a challenge. It helps you to improve or master your skills. I love Ballroom Dancing. In fact, I took classes for 10 years from the age of 4 until the age of 14. I like to paint, decorate, organize, direct. I am very passionate about my major , which is Economics, and I see myself in 10 years working at a Federal Reserve Bank on the Board of Governors.
What is your favorite TED talk and why?

I have many favorite talks. However, one of the recent that I really enjoyed was “Where is Home?” by Pico Iyer. I loved it because it relates to international students, immigrants to the extend where you ask yourself an honest question and you need to give an honest answer “Where is Your Real Home?”. Is that this country, that city, in this buliding, in that family, with these or those people, freinds around you? You are the only one who knows. After listening to this breathtaking talk, I decided for myself where is my HOME.

What enticed you to choose your major(s) and/or minor(s)?
Career Opportunities and Salary Prospects.
What is your interpretation of this years TEDxUCSD theme, Madness and Miracles?
To be honest, I am not sure I agree with you about the idea that madness creates miracles. Unfortunately, I do not think I have the same opinion as you.
Who/What inspires you?
The classical music, especially Vivaldi “La Follia”, Mozart “Requiem”, Dmitri Shostakovich “Waltz No. 2”, Khachaturian “Masquerade Suite – Waltz” ; Also, jazz musicians, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald.
If you could have a super power what would it be and why?
Power Mimicry: Power mimicry would allow you to copy or absorb another’s powers or skills, so you could swim as fast as Michael Phelps, direct movies as impeccably as Steven Spielberg, or write as many best-selling novels as J.K. Rowling.
What's one thing you can't live without?
What is one life goal that you have?
Master a skill to be a better person, there is always a room for growing/improvement
Choose a song to describe you and explain why you chose this song.
